Starry Night flows through a dreamscape of beautiful and unexpected sounds. Beginning with reflections on the night sky, the journey continues with an exploration of the subconscious inspired by Dr. Rosalind “The Queen of Dreams” Cartwright’s emotional sleep/dream theory. Then, a soundtrack to accompany moonlit rituals, music inspired by the United Nations treaty for celestial peacekeeping, and more. Starry Night features new music composed for SHHH!! by Monica Pearce, Jocelyn Morlock, Paolo Griffin, Mari Alice Conrad, Harry Stafylakis, and more.
Machines, Mannequins, and Monsters
Machines, Mannequins, and Monsters by Kelly-Marie Murphy is a taut and driving showcase for piano/percussion duo and orchestra and is inspired by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) exhibition of the same name.
An Auditory Survey of the Last Days of the Holocene
Composed by Frank Horvat, An Auditory Survey of the Last Days of the Holocene presents a radical catalogue of our created world’s sounds. The audience is faced with echoes of our human-made environment, stripped bare of visual distractions, and taken on a journey of action and possibility.
